About Edge
Edge Roofing and Remodeling is a family owned and operated business in Austin, Texas since 1983. Ken and Linda Atwater have built their business on word of mouth with minimal advertising.

We strive to maintain quality service at a fair price, making sure that each job is finished in a timely manner with customer satisfaction as the outcome. Quality, service, fair prices and customer satisfaction are our first priorities.

Commercial and Residential Roofing
We specialize in all kinds of roofing, such as metal, shingle, tile and flat.

We install ridge vents, soffit vents and radiant barrier products to keep your attic cool and cooling bills as low as possible.

We can install other roof related items as well, such as custom sheet metal work, flashings, skylights and gutters.

We also repair anything listed above. Have a flat roof or skylights? Think they always leak?  Not if done correctly!

Edge Roofing & Remodeling has 30+ years of commercial and residential roofing experience; consulting with architects and inspectors, working with office and field personnel to assure the right application and correct installation.

Remodeling
We have been in the remodeling field for the past ten years. This is one of the most enjoyable aspects of our business and is fast becoming the busiest. In today’s economy, it is sometimes more feasible to remodel an existing structure than to build new. We love to take an out of date kitchen, for example, and update and modernize it.

Working closely with the customer to get exactly what they want in their kitchen or bathroom remodel project is both challenging and rewarding. We have a number of suppliers so we can offer a very competitive estimate. We have found that a large part of our remodeling end is return customers who have been so happy with their first remodel job with us they want to continue into other rooms of their house.

There are different areas of remodeling: There is the “tear it out and start over” area. This is so much fun because we essentially have a blank slate and can do whatever the homeowner has in mind. There is the “I hate this color” area. We try to think of ways to change the colors without having to entirely change everything about the room. There is the “I would rather have the sink over there” area. This can be more work than the homeowner initially realizes, but we do our best to offer the best solution at the most economical price. And then there's the “Let’s go bigger” area. Adding on to an existing structure can be stressful to the homeowner unless they have the right contractor who listens to what they want. Usually by the time the homeowner gets to this stage, they were in need of it yesterday, so dealing with a contractor who is always on the job and making progress daily is a big plus.

Residential Painting and Sheet Rock
Painting is a field that can be functional and aesthetically pleasing at the same time. Houses require regular exterior painting. This is the easiest way to maintain your home’s stability. If maintained year round, leaks rarely occur and your home stays as energy efficient as possible. We do all kinds of maintenance painting and repairs, but sometimes it’s also nice to just change the color.

Interior painting has many aspects to it. We offer "everything interior" that would need to be done to any home. We can repair any damaged area, usually matching existing colors and textures easily. We also specialize in faux painting, murals and custom colors. These are things only an expert can offer because they require working closely with the homeowner in order to achieve the exact outcome desired. Our crew is very professional and quick. We pride ourselves in getting in, getting the desired result and getting out.

Rental Maintenance
Maintenance is something that a lot of people have discovered the need for. A metal roof, for instance, is a large investment in the future of your home or business. If maintained properly, it can last the lifetime of the building it is installed on. We offer a once a month inspection agreement that enables us to make any necessary repairs immediately so that further damage does not occur. This maintenance agreement can be for a shingle roof, as well as tile, metal, flat or wood shake. With weather in Texas being as unpredictable as it is, this is a good thing to think about having so that any hail damage, for instance, is discovered relatively quickly and can be repaired with as little damage to other areas as possible.
